Berrima Schoolyard Markets

On the fourth Sunday of each month (Feb-Nov) and 2nd Sunday in November, don’t miss this vibrant local market, where you can browse more than 50 stalls and get to now your local growers and artisan producers, while enjoying fabulous food and free live music! Expect everything from small farm products and home made preserves, to cakes, sweets, artisan jewellery, fashion, home wares and much much more.

Eschalot

Eschalot has long been the guiding light of fine dining in Berrima and new owners Cass Wallace and Matty Roberts have enhanced its unique appeal, with a whole new look and feel and fresh menus! Gunu Berrima

Welcome to paradise, Southern-Highlands style! Harpers Cottage

Built in 1834 by early settler, James Harper, who also built the magnificent National Trust property – Harpers Mansion, this charming, two bedroom, brick and stone cottage is within walking distance of the fabulous shops and eateries of Berrima village. A lovely breakfast hamper is provided.

Harpers Mansion

Open to the public on weekends and public holidays Harper’s Mansion is a State heritage listed, colonial Georgian residence that dates back to 1834. There are stories to enjoy there of who were the first settlers, our forebare of the area. And there is a gift shop with locally produced goods. The National Trust property features two acres of established gardens that produce plums, apples, pomegranates, redcurrant, white currants and rhubarb Delicious jams and chutneys made with the garden harvest are locally made and sold on-site to raise funds toward maintaining the grounds. Cool climate and drought-hardy garden plants propagated from heritage plants in the estate grounds can also be purchased from a nursery on the estate.

Jellore Cottage

Visitors to this nostalgic piece of local history reminisce about memories of ‘grandma’s house’ from their childhood. Built in 1860, the heritage-listed cottage has been restored to its original, colonial character and retains many of the original features. Feast at Berrima

A freestanding weatherboard cottage on 1/2 acre block in the heart of Berrima. Newly renovated and fully self-contained with all the mod cons needed. Close to lots of restaurants and cafes. Fantastic walks around the historic town and along the river where the German Internment camp once existed. The courthouse is open every day and Harper’s Mansion on weekends. The Berrima Public School Market is held the 4th Sunday of the month. Bookings also include a $50 gift voucher to our sister restaurant, Feast at Berrima, a short stroll across the park.
